Former Kwame Nkrumah Circle Soldier Bar, which was known for various notorious activities some years back, and was closed down through one of Ghana’s Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’s report, has now been transformed into a business center, the place is now decent and neat, with business going on smoothly, the place is now a business hub for dealers of phones and accessories, and barbering saloon and other businesses. It is also the lorry station for residents living at Kotobabi Down and its environs.
Formerly the popular Soldier Bar was noted for prostitution, wee smoking and other notorious activities, but through the intervention of Anas who was one time Journalist of the year and has also won a lot of international awards, posed as a client to patronize their services leading to the arrest of a lot of prostitutes, and this led to the place being closed down for years without any activity going on there, but for some time now the place has bounced back as a business hub.
