Honestly it is not funny doing business anymore for these traders in the country because it is something else. If their assertions are anything to go by, the transactional losses is collapsing business and operational capital is shrinking every minute due to inflation.
These traders were interviewed by Metro Tv and their complains is mostly about the economic downturn and the inflation which has affected everything in the country. People are really suffering in the face of growing inflation and Cedi depreciation and their effects on incomes and cost of living.
The First Lady expressed her frustrations of doing business and the CFA which used to be Ghc6 has increased to GHc16. Sadly, the trader indicated that she voted for the NPP but the way things are going has made her regret.
"In Togo, the prices of goods are stable but why does it increase from time to time in Ghana," the second lady enquired. To her our currency isn't helping them to transact business and they haven't seen this before in many years of doing business.
