According to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), they have resolved the nationwide prepaid metering system vending issues that customers were having.
The power distribution company stated in a press release on October 1 that customers who were having trouble purchasing credits can now do so at the ending points.
In part of the statement, it was stated that "The Electricity Company of Ghana wishes to inform all stakeholders, especially our beloved customers on our prepayment metering system that the issue with the 3rd Party Vending Points has been resolved."

Customers can now buy electricity credits at their nearby vending point and all ECG District offices, starting tomorrow, Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 9.00 am to 4:00 pm, the company said.
However, some customers are voicing their dissatisfaction that they are still unable to purchase electricity credit as of 9 a.m. this Sunday.
Some also stated that they've been sleeping in darkness since Tuesday hence demanding ECG to do something about the situation and act fast
