The member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency who doubles as the Minister of Information has make it clear that, the country will not be manageable when the 2022 budget is not approved.
According to the honorable minister, when the budget is delayed, the government will have no power to pay public sector workers, or supply electricity to Ghanaians or pay government's debts.
He however added that, the government will only be able to use funds of the country to finance the activities of the country for just three months and beyond the three months, the government may seem powerless to govern the country.
He made this revelation on Okay FM morning show.
As at now, the 2022 budget is yet to be approved by Parliament. Even though the minority in Parliament has rejected the budget in one sitting, the majority in Parliament has also approved it.
The Minister of Finance on 6th December, 2021 made some changes in the budget of which Parliament must go for a sitting and debate on it.
If this fails, the government will find difficulties in financing the country next year.
