Abraham Amaliba, a key member of the NDC legal team has reacted to the recent press briefing by the Minister of Finance about how the economic crisis in the country can be curtailed.
According to Abraham Amaliba, the government has made another big mistake for refusing to sack Ken Ofori Atta. Abraham made it clear that Ghana is in these crisis because of reckless borrowing by the Finance Ministry. He added that the Finance Minister needs to be sacked because Ghana is in a hole because of him.
Aside this, he made it clear that nothing better has changed for Ghanaians. He added that Ghanaians are still in the same situation even after the pres briefing. He continued by saying that Ken Ofori Atta was making a statement on solutions on how to save the country from economic crisis yet there was a borrowing item in the statement.
"If we are in a democracy and the government takes the welfare needs of his people seriously, the first measure that the government will take is to fire the Finance Minister" he said.
He believes that Pay Cut is good but it won't help solve the economic crisis in the country.
Abraham Amaliba made these statements at TV3 New Day show.
