You will pay more later. Ghanaians react to the decision of the president on fuel and gas

Ghanaians woke up this morning to hear a good news from the government. At least when someone hears a good news, the person rejoices and shows appreciation to the Lord Almighty and the person who gave him or her that good news. In this case, everything is different. I don't know if it's because of what has been happening recently but don't worry to think about it, we will figure it out from what our fellow countrymen are saying. Patiently stay connected and let's have a discussion on the decision of the president on petrol, diesel and liquiefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Price increment on some things in the country recently is one thing Ghanaians can't stop complaining. It seems like every month or two, the prices of some commodities go up. When we talk, the big men will say things have to go up so that the economy of the country will bounce back meanwhile, the country is endowed with all the valuable natural resources you can talk of which can help us to bring the economy back to where it was before the outbreak of COVID-19.

Earlier this morning, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has announced that the president, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has granted an approval to zero the Price Stabilization and Recovery Levies on petrol, diesel and LPG for a period of two months. I will say it's a good news because the amount of money Ghanaians pay when getting the items listed above will decrease but the kind of reactions coming from Ghanaians has made it a bad news.

Few people have recognized the benefits and have therefore thanked the president for what his has done. Many people have also insinuated that the government wants to increase the price of fuel next year and that is the reason why he has granted that. Many too have been saying Ghanaians should not rejoice because they will lay back as they are paying for through taxes and levies.

What's your thoughts on this, do you think the Government will make us pay back for this? Drop your views in the comment section below and follow up for more interesting updates.
