The host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom Octhere has finally revealed the real reason why the Akufo-Addo government is sending Ghana to the International Monetary Fund for an economic bailout. He revealed that this information he's giving out is straight from the finance ministry and they are facts.
During his submission on his show on Tuesday, 5th July 2022, Paul Adom Octhere revealed that, the real reason why Ghana is going to the IMF is because investors lost hope in the country when the rating agencies downgraded us. Paul revealed that, the investors actually told the government to go to the IMF because that gives the country some credibility and that's the only way, they will still stay with Ghana.
“ Ghana went to the IMF because of the downgrade of the country by rating agencies. What happened was that, investors lost confidence in us and started pulling their investments from the country. So the finance ministry actually told me that the investors informed the government to go to the IMF so that we can have some sort of credibility. So the government is not actually going for the money but so that we can get credibility and hope from the investors in the country.” Paul Adom Octhere boldly revealed this on his show.
Do you think Paul is on point with this information or do you think he's just doing damaging control for Akufo-Addo government??
