Vice President Bawumia’s economy lecture has been the talk of town in the aftermath of the presentation. The government led by Bawumia, who is the Head of the Economic team has admitted that all is well but have emphasized that the country is better placed than it was under the NDC. The opposition NDC however debunk this and say that despite all the monies that the government received the country’s economy has been one of the worse in the world.
On The Big Issues on TV3 today, Monday, April 11, 2022, Johnnie Hughes was joined by Malik Basintale, the NDC Savannah Regional Communicator and Alfred Thompson, an NPP communicator. Johnnie questioned Alfred Thompson on the presentation made by the Vice president. Johnnie noted that despite the admission of a fallen economy by Bawumia, the Veep only ended up doing comparisons.
Alfred Thompson maintained that since the NDC are only interested in criticizing the government has no choice than to compare. He pointed out that Ghana doesn’t have a credible opposition because the opposition cannot even give answers to Ghana’s problems. He then questioned where Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang was. According to Mr. Thompson, if the NDC had won election, Prof. Jane would have been the head of the economic team.
Mr. Thompson called for Jane Naana to also come out and give her lecture on the economy and provide solutions instead of sitting and criticizing. He called on the NDC big wigs like Mahama to stop attacking Bawumia if their running mate cannot provide answers.
