The country's institution which oversees the activities of financial institutions therefore does its best possible to alert individuals to prevent them from losing their funds to institutions which are set up to fail.

In view of protecting individuals, the central bank, Bank of Ghana (BoG) has issued a statement warning individuals about a popular money doubling scheme, "Worldremit". The central bank stated that "Worldremit" which is operating a money doubling scheme in Ghana is distinct from the globally renowned Fintech and World Remit.
