TOR interdicts staff over Missing 105, 927 Litres of Fuel

Ghana Economy recently as reported by our news medias was hit with a huge loss as 105, 927 litres of fuel strive missing..

In response to this, the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Tema Oil Refinery has interdicted some staffs following 105,927 Liters of Fuel which has been reported missing.

According to the IMC, these workers who have been interdicted hold the position as staffs to transfer products by the company. According to the IMC, the staffs remains interdicted awaiting to the pending outcome of investigation to the sudden loss.

Giving some details on the losses in a statement issued by the IMC, the it stated that it included the disappearance of 105,927 litres of Gas oil which belongs to a Bulk Distribution Company client on September 4, 2021, the wrongful loading of 252,000 litres of Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK) instead of regular Kerosene into BRV trucks at the loading gantry between 21st and 25th September 2021.

According to the IMC, their quick actions over the loss forms part of their ways to eradicate or minimize product loss to the refinery company.

They further added that, as they take steps to conduct investigation about the issue, each staff should stay calm and their actions will be in accordance to the law and anyone who get cleared will be recalled from interdiction to continue with work while any one found liable will be dealt in accordance as the law says.
