The Managing Director of GIHOC, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has stated boldly that very soon, there will be an intentional increase in the prices of alcoholic beverages in the country. He stated boldly that this increase in prices is meant to generate more revenue to support the government. He stated with no regrets that they have increased the price of these beverages and they will continue to increase the prices.
"If you are not ready to buy them, then stop drinking alcohol and drink water. It is not by force to drink water", he stated boldly on Nhyira FM.
According to him, all those who drink alcohol are people who are lazy and as such, once they do not want to work, they should stop drinking alcohol and drink water.
This has got Ghanaians to massively descend on him for being rude to them. Some attributed this talk to the recent marriage of his son to Nana Addo's daughter.
