Ghana as a country has everything such as the manpower, resources, and among others, a nation needs to develop yet the country is still at where they were many years ago which is very disgusting as a country like Ghana. And who is to be blamed for all this?.

Joy business news today reported how Ghana has earned over 200 million euros in surplus last years as the result of exporting more of its products to France such as oil, agricultural products, and food. And now has become the 5th biggest supplier of oil to France in Sub-Saharan Africa.

France on the other hand exports mainly metallurgical products, refined petroleum products, food products, and engineering equipment to Ghana.

French Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie in an exclusive interview with joy business news disclose that the surplus was the result of Ghana increasing its exportation by 30% and decreasing its imports by 6%.

She also spoke about other businesses in Ghana of which she mentioned Tema Port expansion which they invested over $1.5 Billion, their biggest investment in Ghana which then was facilitated by French companies; Bolloré Transport & Logistics and APM Terminals with support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

She also describes Ghana as a place of good business and climate which makes them overlook several continents.

Currently, there are more than 70 French companies in Ghana ranging from the agricultural sector, banking sector, insurance, construction, oil and gas, restaurants, logistics, and hotels which have created around 20,000 direct and indirect jobs.
