An American Investor who lives in Tamale in the Northern Region and has been served eviction notice by his Landlord, even though his rent is due for expiration in November, is blaming his country’s Central Intelligence Agency for his predicament. According to Claude D Convisser, the CIA is being used by powerful Petroleum Conglomerates to frustrate he and his Pop Diesel company’s effort to invest some 40 million dollars into the production of biofuel, a project he said if allowed to take off and become successful will spell doom for some major companies in the petrochemical industry.
At a press briefing in Tamale, the investor claimed the CIA has made several but unsuccessful attempt on his life and has now resorted to methods aimed at frustrating his efforts in order that he does not have a free mind to mastermind the successful takeoff of his multimillion dollar project which is to be based at Yendi, the traditional capital of the Dagbang Kingdom. Mr. Convisser has been so vocal as he holds press briefings every now and then to comment on very important national issues especially those bordering on security, investment and corruption.
In his latest press outing, the trained lawyer, part of the methods adopted by the CIA to frustrate him is the prevention of government of Ghana from signing a deal with another of his companies, Alaafei foods, to produce en mass a highly nutritious food supplement to be served to school children under the School Feeding Initiative. He said the necessary proposals and documents have been submitted to the government but the Gender Ministry which is to approve the contract for some reasons and for nearly half a decade has dilly-dallied.
Mr. Convisser further stated that his current predicament at his home is owed to instructions given to his Landlord by the CIA to have him evicted even though his rent is not due in another four months and his landlord also owes huge amounts of money in rent advance. Mr Convisser alleged that he has been assaulted by thugs he believed are hired by the owner of the property he currently calls his home but the police whom he has reported to for reason he cannot fathom have also failed to make any arrest.
