A country in Southeast Asia. Official name: Malaysia. The president of Malaysia was then a friend of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in his time as president of Ghana. He visited Ghana and stayed here for about a week. He visited many places in Ghana including Bekwai which was previously called "abɛ kwaeɛ" - meaning a forest full of palm trees. Malaysian president took three (3) fruits of it to be taken to his country. On the day of departure, one of the palm fruits got missed at Kotoka international airport and he managed the two till he reached his country.
He taught his people how to cultivate the palm and other helpful rhings that will help them in cultivation.
And now, Malaysia is one of the countries that produce most palm products such as palm wine, palm oil, and also uses the plant residue in construction of car bodies.
Malaysia which at that time they have no major resources has now uses this palm to develop their country very well and their economic state is very stable than Ghana who at that time have a forest of palm trees
