You Cannot Hide What Is Happening - Kwesi Pratt Sends A Message To Akuffo-Addo Over The Economy

Over the past weeks, Ghanaians have received many devastating reports about the state of the economy. Reports have it that, Ghana may run to the International Monetary Fund again - a Minister also announced that the public sector is full. Recently, the President Akuffo-Addo has being sparking controversies with his comments; especially during interviews and his tours.

Outspoken Journalist, political analyst and Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt has made another bold statement concerning the current state of the Ghanaian economy. He has expressed his worries and resentment over the economy is being handled by the government.

According to Kwesi Pratt, lies and deception cannot be used to cover the real performance of the economy. Speaking metaphorically, Kwesi Pratt indicated that the economy is like a cock and cannot be prevented from crying whenare pressure is exerted on it. Explaining the rationale behind his statement, he indicated that what Ghanaians are experiencing today are the results of government failure.

He made this statement when speaking in an interview on Good Morning Af show on Pan African TV. Kwesi Pratt believes that it is time for Akuffo-Addo and his cohort to redeem their selves over their mouthwatering breathtaking promises ahead of the elections.

Speaking further, Kwesi Pratt criticized the President over his recent statements when questioned on projects that have been abandoned by the government. He believes that, a leader must find better ways to respond to questions from his people especially the very provoking ones.

He said, "You cannot hide the state of the national economy. It is not something that anybody can hide. I remember in the last couple of years that the economy is doing well. They ar all gibberish. The fact of the matter is that things are not going well and we're all seeing it."
