There are different ways to raising income.
Economic activity as a means of livelihood should never be taken for granted.
Most women, young and old, are noted to be very good hawkers, but the story of Maame Yaa, has really brought so much fascination and interest in the sales business.
Maame is a groundnut seller residing at Nungua in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
There are many groundnut sellers within the country.
Be it roasted, fried, or cooked.
Maame Yaa stands tall among these sellers due to her astuteness and dedication towards this line of business.
She rides on a bicycle to and fro within the township in a quest to deliver quickly and cover a long distance.
Watching this woman on the bicycle with a pileup of cooked groundnut placed on her head while riding on the bicycle is simply a sight to behold.
As a result of a rather interesting way of selling, Maame has attracted a lot of patronage from the town folks with cheers here and there.
Opera News caught up with this hardworking woman, and all she's got to say is that "I'm happy to be raising income out of this service to humanity, which helps me put food on the table and to also cater for the needs of my immediate family", Maame emphasized with much enthusiasm.
