Ghana's currency is the fourth historical and only current legal tender in the Republic of Ghana. Many currencies have run through the Ghanaian system right from independence up to date. Which currency did you enjoyed and valued most and still wish it should be reintroduce into the system.
Before independence, the issue of currency was the prime responsibility of the West African Currency Board. That was when the pounds, shillings and pence was in full circulation. Right after independence, the new monetary authority which is the Bank of Ghana, introduced Ghana pounds, shillings and pence until the birth of the Ghana Cedi.
Let take a look at some of the monies which have being in circulation and tells us which one could have helped the standard of living of the ordinary Ghanaian and which one also has worsen the economic status of the Ghanaian citizen.
Comparing these two currencies, personally I prefer choosing the one on my left because considering it's value as at time it was in use and this current currency tells me how important the old days currency was. Your opinion on this will tell whether it should be reintroduce into the Ghanaian system or not.
Now to you the reader, kindly comment and give a detail reason why this currency should be reintroduce into the system again.
