The Ghanaian businessman and Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has been captured on Net 2 TV advising President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be creative in this economic hardship. Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong said that he believes that Ghana can revive using the 'Asian miracle' in running affairs in the country. He explained that most Asia countries saw that America and other European countries are far ahead of them so they came out with a module to beat the European countries.
According to him, what they did was that they came out with a strategy to produce most of the products themselves. For example, if the government sees that they are importing too much sugar, then they look for someone who has a very good knowledge of manufacturing sugar. The person also looks for about 20 people who are very good at sugarcane plantations. A big land is given to these people for sugarcane plantation.
The group will come out with the expenditure of tools and equipment they need to keep the factory running. The government will then consider if India is having the best machines and tools for the production of sugar. The government will then deal with the manufacture of these machines and tools in India without any individual benefitting from the purchase of the machines and tools. This way the money doesn't go into the people's hands, it is their proposal and recommendations which are considered.
With this method, most Asian countries produce most of their products in their own countries. They didn't worry about changing their currencies into dollars and other currencies before getting what they need in their countries. Today, most Asian countries have turned their countries into manufacturing states as they are even exporting goods to Europe. As a result of this, Ghana's economic crisis can be solved once and for all with this Asian miracle.
