Fuel is one of the most essential commodities in the life of a Ghanaian. This is because the price of almost all goods and services increase accordingly when there is an increase in the price of fuel.

Crude oil prices on the oil markets have recently increased. Fuels used are all refined products of the crude oil and thus an increase in crude oil price causes an increase in the fuel prices (refined products). There are other factors which affect the increase in the price of fuels other than the increase in crude oil prices.

There have been reports that the prices of fuel is set to increase effective from July 1, 2021. As always, many have expressed their concerns over the increase in fuel prices.
