The interchange which was started in 2017 was a contract awarded by the former president John Dramani Mahama and later completed by the current president, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, who then increased it to a four tier project with the same contract amount, even though it was first awarded and designed as a three tier project. A statement on Facebook said.
The interchange is the first in the West African continent and second in Africa. It has lifted the image of Ghana and Africa as whole in the faces of all international communities and has proven how fast African continent is developing.
Today, Ghana has made a history which will forever remain a legacy to Ghanaians, West Africa and to generations unborn.
It is very good and very important to note that, the current administration have contributed and continued from what the previous administration couldn't finish before leaving office. This is the kind of government Ghanaians are yearning for.
As a legacy and a first of it's kind in the West African continent, it is the duty of the government and other stakeholders especially the media houses and other influencial bodies to educate the users of the road such as the motorists to adhere to the rules and regulations that can lead to the sustainability of the interchange.
The ministry of roads and transport must also ensure that the right measures are put in place to protect the lives of people who will use the facility.
Ghanaians and Africa as a whole are very pleased and wish their leaders will emulate and copy the footsteps of Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
Well done Nana, well done Mahama. Long live Ghana, long live Africa.
