SSNIT is the national primary institution for managing the pensions and contributions towards worker's retirement in Ghana. The name SSNIT is an abbreviation of the name "Social Security and National Insurance Trust". Although there are other roles that SSNIT plays in Ghana in the insurance sector, it's main role is to pull together the various contributions of workers in Ghana, invest it, make payments to pensioners who have made contributions to the institution.
In respect of the current global changes and the need to adopt digital means of providing services and solutions to most challenges, the institution has put several measures in place to make all SSNIT contributors know the activities of the institution. That is, to be transparent with all stakeholders.
One of such measures is to let people know how much they have contributed periodically. As such, SSNIT has issued a statement telling all contributors to update their email addresses with the instruction. By this way, SSNIT will send quarterly statement of contributions to all members to keep them in the know. The full statement is uploaded below:
