The Mahama led administration has done many of things to help sustain the economy by then as the country experienced random power crisis. The National Democratic Congress’s Townhall meeting in Kumasi is underway and has heard a lot of things from the dignitaries.
One of the executives who spoke at the meeting made a throwback speech of Mahama’s administration including his projects that benefitted Ghanaians after he lost power in 2016. One of these projects was the Stabilisation Fund he inaugurated alongside Prof. Mills when he was alive. This fund had its funding from all Oil transactions made in the country as 21% of the total amount generated from oil periodically is dedicated to the Stabilisation Fund.
He went on to reveal how this Stabilisation Fund helped the current government to sustain the economy during the time the pandemic hitter the country at first. The current government made a petition to the parliament asking them to grant them the money generated from the Stabilisation Fund to enable them use it to sustain the economy and that was what they used to cater for the free water and light bills Ghanaians enjoyed getting still they tagged the Ex-president to be incompetent.
He advised the youth to not to pay heed to any deceits the current government will bring to them when the time is due for them to exercise their franchise. Watch the video of the scene in which he made these revelations via the link below:
