Digitalisation saves Ghana ¢112m, Says NSS Boss

Hello and welcome to my page

So, how effective the digitalization on Ghana economy? Well, it seems like the National Service Scheme boss has good news for Ghanaians.

When the NPP came into office, one of their main agenda is to digitalize every sector, and they have been making some effort to achieve that. Although, there are issues here and there, but somehow the government is getting results

Base on some reports, the digitalization of NSS operations have able to detect potential fraudsters and trained many executives ICT skills

However, this is what Executive Director, Osei Assibey Antwi said when the Vice President Bawumia

“We had them on lists as potential Service Personnel, but they run away and couldn’t register because the system raised red flags and weeded them out, so they couldn’t register. Without this use of technology we would have paid Ghs94m, and if they had gone to the private sector, Ghs112m. All of that money would have gone down the drain to ‘ghosts’. Digitalization of our operations, started by my predecessor and continued since I came into office, has indeed saved Ghana a lot of money,”
