The Minister of Land and Natural Resources, Honourable Samuel Abu Jinapor in a meeting revealed to his guests and Ghanaians that the President of the Republic of Ghana is making plans to build an Integrated Aluminum Industry in Ghana.
The member of Parliament for the Damongo constituency and also the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources yesterday had a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Ghana H. E Sergei Berdnikov, the Ghanaian ambassador to Russia H. E Oheneba Dr. Lesley Akyaa Opoku-Ware and the Chief Executive of the Ghana Integrated Aluminum Development Corporation, Mr Micheal Ansah.
And in this meeting the Minister revealed the intention of the President about the building of an Integrated Aluminum Industry here in Ghana.
This is purely a good news to Ghanaians and even foreigners who waiting patiently to invest in the mineral sector. Ghanaians will definitely benefits from such an initiative, besides we will be able to change our bauxite into alumina and further produce aluminum in Ghana as well.
