The current status of the economy is the reason Ghanaians are talking. President Akuffo-Addo has given the Finance Minister instructions to begin the necessary actions to take the country to the IMF due to the status of the economy.
Many Ghanaians have voiced their disappointment over the news because, in their opinion, the NPP did not promise to push the nation that far.
They claimed that while the NPP promised them heaven, what they are actually demonstrating to them is hell.
On social media, an image of some of the top NPP Gurus is trending. The Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Trade Minister Alan Kojo Kyeremateng, and President Akuffo-Addo are all featured in it.
In the image, the words "Happy IMF Day" are boldly written on it.
