Ghanaians were anticipating an inspirational message which will impose some sort of hope in the economy from the president's speech to the nation. The majority were expecting the first gentleman of the land to outline measures to alleviate the hardships in the country.
The president agreed that the economy was in crisis which is True. He further went on to speak of some issues leading to what we are seeing now and mentioned having conversations with some stakeholders on our current crisis. He further spoke about importation, the need to boost our local production, and also "1 District, 1 Factory,"
On the contrary, the majority of people were disappointed and that includes Captain Smart who labeled this 30 minutes address to the nation as a fiasco and that the head of state cannot bring the situation under control.
Speaking this morning on Onua TV, he posited that he was confused and the president spoke grammar which is always used when empathy is needed and his words are much different from his actions.
The message didn't inspire the majority of Ghanaians. It was just theoretical solutions to the mess and was full of long-term solutions. It is obvious that the President and his government machinery are clueless," he concluded.
