According to Nana Otuo Siriboe the chairman of the Council of State, the advisory body has met government officials to deliberate on matters bordering on the economy.
The current economic challenges are affecting everybody and these great members of the council deem it fit to engage government officials in finding a lasting solution.
Issues such as the free fall of the cedi against the major trading currency, the dollar is a major concern for the council and they were assured by the officials who had proposed long and short-term measures to address the situation.
The chairman who also doubles as the paramount chief of Juaben in the Ashanti Region posited that despite their approval of the steps taken by the officials to solve the economic crisis, it wouldn't be appropriate to bring issues discussed on camera.
Since their efforts are appreciated, many Ghanaians doubt anything will come out of the meeting because things have already gotten out of hand. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel and things will be better again.
