The Upper Manya Kro Rural Bank Limited on Saturday held its Thirty-seventh Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Asesewa.
In attendance was the Konor of the Manya Krobo Traditional area, Nene Sakitey II, the District Chief Executive for Upper Manya Krobo, Sharehloders of the bank, representatives from other sister banks and some persons from the general public.
The meeting was held to present the Audit report, the Board chairmans report, Directors report for the year ending December 31, 2021, among other matters.
In a statement, the DCE, Honorable Joe Sam commended the bank for its contributions to development in the district in divers ways including education, health and some social amenities as part of their cooperate social responsibilities.
He said the district assembly has had a long standing relationship with the bank and this has helped the assembly financially towards development in the district adding that this relationship is going to continue as long as the two parties continue to create warm environments to foster business.
On other matters, four candidates who applied for vacant positions on the Board of Directors were given the nod by almost all shareholders.
The four candidates, Ebenezer Na-Tei, Gladys Naki Kumi Som, Dr. Harold Okai-Tettey and Yehonatan Ayertey were duly inducted into office by an Electoral Commission officer followed by warm congratulatory gestures by the current board and management team of the bank.
Speaking in a closing remark, Nene Sakitey II commended the bank for its support to development in the Krobo area and urged management to ensure that they work relentlessly to increase the profit margins of the bank.
He however congratulated the four new board members and encouraged them to take the mantle of the outgoing members and give their best towards the growth of the bank.
