President Akufo-Addo guaranteed the bosses and individuals of Komenda that the industrial facility would be functional in April this year.
The cutoff time given by the President has slipped by and occupants and sugarcane ranchers at Komenda and its environs are concerned that the difficulties of the manufacturing plant are not being handled well by government.
In a meeting on the JoyNews Tracker, Board Member and Municipal Chief Executive for the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirem Municipality, Solomon Ebo Appiah, says the arrangement for the operationalization of the sugar processing plant is to import crude sugar that isn't in a consumable state to help what the neighborhood ranchers will deliver.
"We are accomplishing something uniquely in contrast to what the recent organization did. We are bringing in crude sugar that isn't in a consumable state to help what the neighborhood ranchers will create to run the manufacturing plant," he expressed.
As per Mr. Ebo Appiah, the ongoing game plan will go on for a considerable length of time until an adequate number of unrefined components are created by the industrial facility itself and upheld by what the ranchers will deliver.
The Komenda Sugar Factory was laid out as an import replacement and the ranchers say bringing in the crude sugar to refine it will cost more and, all the more critically, nullify the point of the foundation of the plant.
The ranchers are stressed over the public authority's determination to import crude sugar and refine it at the Komenda Sugar Factory when they have not been locked in and upheld to give unrefined substances.
As indicated by them, the absence of commitment with sugarcane ranchers to empower them to develop the unrefined components to take care of the manufacturing plant is stressing.
In the interim, the public authority has started painting and fixing broken hardware at the production line.
