According to the national teaching council, the Ghana Education Service will be sacking a number of teachers after May, 7 2021. These were the very teachers posted after 31st August 2018. It had been recorded that, these qualified teachers refused to register for the licensure exams before the deadline.
The council further states that the licensing and registeration of qualified teachers is still ongoing on the teachers' portal. Teachers who have passed through their license exams would be qualified to be part of this exercise.
It was also noted that, teachers who have been employed after 31st August yet could not make in their licensure exams are expected to do so before they can be included in that exercise.
The council again stated that teachers who failed to come out and participate in the exercise by on the teachers portal would also be ceased to serve as teachers in Ghana.
