We Need To Rethink About Our Education System – Kobby Kyei Advises GES

Ghanaian blogger Kobby Kyei who has been working very hard to place social issues up to be addressed, has touched on the education system of Ghana.

According to him, Ghana as a country need to rethink about its education system. He recently made this statement on his Facebook timeline.

He wrote;

“They know all the theories, but they can’t apply it. National Science/Maths quiz students who represented Ghana in Portugal. We need to rethink about our education system in Ghana!!”

This follows an admission that was done by Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufmann 2years ago during an interview with Kwaku Sintim Misa, popularly known as KSM.

Taking a close look at this, the education system in the country supports learners to acquire the theoretical aspects of whatever they learn at school, but the system does not support the application of whatever they learn.

Apparently, there are so many topics in Mathematics and Science especially, which students are well vexed, but they do not even know where and when to apply that acquired knowledge.

This tends to be a problem.

The Education system indeed needs reforms and as blogger Kobby Kyei advised, we really need to “Rethink” through our education system.
