Following the riot at the campus of (KNUST) Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, information has been received that three students have been arrested. Get the details below.
On September 23, 2022, the Asokore Mampong District Court remanded three Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) students who were on trial for their involvement in the recent campus skirmishes into police custody.
During the campus violence in August 2022, Emmanuel Appiah Amoah, Kwabena Kwarteng Amaniampong, and Eugene Noamesi were arrested on a bench warrant and charged with rioting and causing unlawful damage to property.
After Friday's court session, the police issued a statement promising to bring all of the agitators to justice.
On October 10, 2022, the accused will be brought back before the court.
