Bagabaga College of Education will be counted among the best colleges of Education in the country this is as the result of the quality of education and training they provide to student-teachers and also which reflects after the final exams and also their products in various schools teaching.

The school this 2020/2021 academic year has seen an increase in the number of students it admits. This is as the results of the number of students admitted into SHS in 2017 due to the FREE SHS Policy. This made it so difficult for the management to accommodate students.

The school is currently under pressure due to accommodation reasons. The school use not to admit a lot of females because they lack hostels. This year, the school has seen an increase in the number of female students which is an achievement and at the same time a problem.

Their official hostels are all occupied and the rest have to be given a facility which is supposed to be used to train the college lectures. The school has no other choice than to give it to them otherwise the students have to strive on their own.

The management of the school had started a project which when completed could accommodate a lot of students. But due to one or two reasons, the college couldn’t make it possible and constructions has seized. The college cried that, they don’t have the means to move on with the project.

They called on the government several times but no attempt was made to complete the project for the school. On the matriculation day, the principal of the school disclosed that, because of the problem they are currently facing, it will be difficult for them to admit female students. He made it clear that, the college will have no other choice than to stop admitting them.

He pleaded with students that, they should help and also inform their parents and guardians to also help to send message to the government to come to their aid to complete the facility for them. For the school to make their admission process gender balanced, it needs facilities to accommodate female students.
