The Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) is set to organize a nationwide training workshop for French teachers in primary and Junior High schools (JHS). The training will take place in all the ten (10) traditional Regions in the month of July 2021.
According to a press statement signed by the Director of Schools and Instructions Division, Mrs. Patty E.A Assan, the objective of the workshop is to equip the teachers with the requisite knowledge and competencies in developing the major day-to-day communicative skills in learners. The tasks oriented approach to the teaching of French as prescribed by the Standard Based curriculum framework will be used.
The French Unit (CREF) at the GES Headquarters will organize a one-day online refresher training for all Regional CREF Heads and their Resource teachers on Monday 5th July 2021, in preparation for the workshop
According to GES, each training session will last for three (3) days. Each training session should not have more than twenty-four (24) participants. Funds for the training have however been lodged in the Regional CREF account. Participants are to note that strict observance of all COVID-19 safety protocols will be put in place.
