The National Science And Maths Quiz climaxed yesterday in a very entertaining and interesting manner. The grand Finale that went on among Prempeh College, Keta Senior High technical School (Ketasco) And Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School, Legon ( PRESEC Legon) was for a fact the best quiz the country has ever witnessed.
Many people will be wondering why it was that entertaining but the answer is simple. Yesterday's encounter among these three schools at the Great Hall in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology campus was fascinating. KETASCO made their first appearance into the finals but unfortunately they could not win the trophy and other many things made it entertaining.
The Kumasi based Senior High School, Prempeh College at the end of the contest won the quiz with a maximum of 53 points. PRESEC Lagon became the runners up with 49 points and KETASCO got 30 points to be the third school in the competition.
But before, during and after the competition several things went on and that even made the quiz more entertaining. Before the competition started all three schools were of great conviction that they will win the trophy, so they all jubilated, but as the competition went to the second and third round the moods of some schools and students both on their own campuses and the hall of the quiz started changing.
Some of the schools were seen praying to their Makers or God, others were seen in a very sorrowful mood, other almost cried and some continued their jubilations.
When the competition ended only one school was seen jubilating everywhere but both KETASCO and PRESEC Lagon students were seen in a very sad mood.
