This clearly points to the fact that, this operation affected teachers in both the first and second cycle institutions.
Examination malpractices during the WASSCE and BECE is now becoming a very huge problem for the Ghana education service and the West African Examination council since perpetrators of this heinous act always find ways to outsmart the system.
According to one of the teachers who has been sacked, a friend sent the BECE English questions to him and he forwarded the questions to his school's WhatsApp group.
According to him many teachers were convicted for this offense but WAEC declined to prosecute them since according to them, the circulation of the questions on social media and other platforms never had any significant impact on the final results of the candidates.
He further said, those who knew powerful people in society were made to go free while the remaining 11 were made escaped goats by getting sacked.
Below is the letter from GES confirming the dismissal of this gallant teachers. This should serve as a great warning to teachers who engage in such practices. Who knows you might be the next victim to be sacked by GES. A word to the wise is enough.
