The teachers and Education workers in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region have been hit by some disturbing news. Reports coming in from Kyekyewere, a town in the Afigya Kwabre North District claim that, two teachers of the same school passed on the same day. The teachers are members of staff of Kyekyewere Pentecost D/A Junior High School.
The English Language teacher of Kyekyewere D/A whose name was only given as Madam Aba died on Sunday, 29th August, 2021. According to her close colleagues, the English Language teacher had delivered a few weeks ago. However, she died mysteriously in the late hours of Sunday leaving behind her newly born baby.
Madam Aba's colleagues and students were in the state of mourning when another piece of unpleasant news broke.
The unfortunate news was that, the Headteacher of Kyekyewere Pentecost D/A Junior High School, Mr Dominic Dompreh popularly or affectionately known as Mr Dom has left this world to join his ancestors. He also died on Sunday, the 29th day of August, 2021. Staff members of Kyekyewere Pentecost D/A recall that their Headteacher complained about severe headache on Saturday, 28th August, 2021. He then went to hospital to seek medical treatment as his condition worsened.
The health professionals did all what they could to help the forty-six (46) year old Educationist. However, Mr Dominic Dompreh could not make it. He left behind a wife and four children.
The bodies of both Mr Dominic Dompreh and Madam Aba have been deposited at the morgue for preservation. The burial and funeral rites of Mr Dominic Dompreh will be done according to the principles and practices of the Jehovah Witnesses as he was a staunch member of the movement or faith.
The teaching staff, students and the inhabitants of Afigya Kyekyewere have been in the state of disbelief and mourning since Sunday.
