Parents and Teachers Association of the Bagabaga Demonstration Primary School have expressed revulsion over the nature of a dilapidated 3-classroom block in the School.
He said the ramshackle block accommodates over 400 pupils, packed into a ‘nearly death trap’ structure with cracks all over the walls.
Condition of the 3 unit classroom block which has its doors and windows removed does not resonate well with the name of the school, let alone meet the standard of teaching and learning of the academic institution.
According to the parents, the situation has negatively impacted academic performance. Adding in times of rain while classes are halted, pupils seek shelter elsewhere as they cannot sit in class to receive tuition.
Mr. Issah further disclosed that effort to get the Sagnarigu Municipal Assembly and the MP for the area to address the infrastructure deficit has proven futile.
The school authorities are therefore pleading with the government and philanthropists to come to their aid.
