Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology is trending after the authorities of the school ordered a halt in all JCR election processes that will see to the selection of leaders in the various halls or residences and courses. It is worth noting that some of the leaders we have now were birthed and groomed at the Tertiary level. This was in reaction to the clash between the two major halls in the University.
Oliver Barker expressed shock at how the authorities of the University intends to halt all Democratic processes in the University.
Thus, the announcement that there will be no JCR election has gotten many Ghanaians to react. Lead convener of the Fix The Country Movement, Osagyefo Oliver Barker Vorwamor has reacted to this menace.
"So the response of the KNUST council is that let us remove all the mechanisms for democratizing student representation and decision-making. Interesting! Is this not a coup?", he wrote.
