Readers could recall that, this reliable source disclosed the predicament of a teacher at Jachie Pramso Senior High School in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region a few weeks. The name of the that was Addae Andrews who is affectionately known as "Carboni". Mr Addae Andrews has been battling with kidney complications for the past twelve or so months.
It has now emerged that Mr Addae Andrews needs two hundred and thirty thousand Ghana Cedis ( GhC 230, 000) before he can be flown out of the country for treatment. This has sent shock waves into the spines of his family members and Colleagues alike as he has been subjected to three dialysis each week.
In the meantime, his former school mates at the Offinso College of Education have contributed some amount towards his medical expenses. However, that is very far from what Carboni needs at this crucial moment.
In other related news, one Mr Addae Andrews' seniors at the Offinso College of Education by name Mr Solomon Acheampong has received over ten thousand Ghana Cedis (GhC 10, 000) for his surgery at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
This raises the questions about where Ghana Education Service puts the welfare of it's employees. The Social Security and National Insurance Trust on the other hand have also failed to collaterise contributions of members in order to raise funds for situation like this.
