The Management of Ghana Education Service in a released letter signed by Adjoa Van Vicker (MRS) Director, HRMD for the Director -General has asked all Regional Education Directors to declare vacancies latest by 29 October, 2021 to enable the postings of Newly trained Diploma teachers to the various regions across Ghana.
In the release, GES also stated that the declaration of vacancies in the various regions is to help in the postings of teachers or GES staff returning from study leave with pay in 2021.
"In preparation towards the Posting/Regional allocation of Newly Trained Diploma Teachers and GES Staff returning from Study Leave With Pay, the GFS Headquarters is requesting for the declaration of Vacancies in your region to enable the equitable distribution of the above mentioned teachers." the letter stated.
All Regional Education Directors are urged to separate the declared vacancies of Basic Schools from that of Senior High Schools and also make sure that the information is in both hard copy and soft copy form and sent to GES office not later than 29 October, 2021.
This comes after the deputy minister of finance, Hon. Abena Asare Osei assured the NTTF Executives that NQT will be employed within this year (2021). She said financial clearance will be issued in November 2021 and the process for NQTs recruitment will officially commence.
