Member of the Education Committee, William Agyapong Quaito, this afternoon throws light on what transpired yesterday in the parliament as far as the Public Universities
Bill is concerned.
Addressing the media, Mr William Quaito, reiterates the fact that the Public Universities Bill was not passed yesterday during the session held by the parliament.
Mr William Quaito indicates in his address that the parliament actually triggered yesterday only a second reading of the bill and subsequently submitted it to the advisory committee as mandated by law.
" The second reading doesn't mean we have passed the bill" could he hammer in his comments.
The eminent member of the Education Committee, however points out the fact that all the major concerns raised by the UTAG, are taking in consideration in the present bill.
"What UTAG and stakeholders want, is in the bill' could he indicate.
Mr William Quaito also discloses how UTAG and various stakeholders were present in a meeting today with the vice president and the bill was giving to them to appreciate and subsequently come back with their input.
