List of 11 Boys' Senior High Schools and Their Sister Senior High Schools In Ghana

Most of our single sex schools are affiliated and have strong alliances with each other. Boys' senior high schools in Ghana also have their sister school which are also Girls' senior high school. Here are some list of 11 Boys' Senior high schools and sister schools they share bond and ties with;

1. Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School, Aburi Girls' Senior High School and Krobo Girls Senior High School

Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC) is a all-boys secondary boarding school located in Legon, Accra, Ghana which was founded in 1938. PRESEC has ties with or is associated with Aburi Girls' Senior High School and Krobo Girls Senior High School, which are its sister schools. Aburi Girls' Senior High School (ABUGISS) is an all-girls Presbyterian second cycle boarding school located in the South of Aburi, Eastern Region of Ghana while Krobo Girls senior high school (KROGISS) is also an all girls senior high school located in Krobo Odumase in the Eastern Region of Ghana.


2. St. Augustine's College and Holy Child Senior High School

St. Augustine’s College (AGUSCO) is an all-boys academic institution in Cape Coast, Central Region of Ghana, established in 1930. The school has an alliance or assocation with Holy Child Senior High School (HOLICO) which is an all female second cycle institute located in Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana. This bond could be as a result of the same Catholic tradition they share.


3. Mfantsipim Senior High School and Wesley Girls Senior High School

Mfantsipim is an all-boys Methodist boarding secondary school in Cape Coast, Central Region of Ghana, established in 1876. Wesley Girls' High School is its sister school which is an all girls educational institution in Cape Coast, founded in 1836. They share the same affliation, thus the Methodist Church and its traditions.


4. Accra Academy and St. Mary's Senior High School

Accra Academy is one of the foremost all-male secondary educational institutions in Ghana that operates as a non-denominational day and boarding boys' school, located at Bubuashie, near Kaneshie in the Greater Accra Region. The "Bleoo" boys has an affiliation with St. Mary's Senior High School (Merriest), their sister schools. The school is an all female second cycle institution in Korle Gonno in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.


5. St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School and Accra Girls' Senior High School

St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School is a Ghanaian public day senior high school for boys in the Osu, Greater Accra Region. Aquinas has ties with its sister school, Accra Girls Senior High School, with a strong bond of students association, which is aimed at sharing entertainments, social activities, and educational exchange, called STAAGA (St. Thomas Aquinas Accra Girls Association).


6. Adisadel College and Mfantsiman Girls' Senior High School

Adisadel College (ADISCO) is an Anglican boys' boarding school in Cape Coast, Central Region of Ghana. Adisadel College is closely affiliated to Mfantsiman Girls' Secondary School, an all female secondary institution located in Saltpond, Central Region of Ghana.


7. Kumasi Senior High School and Kumasi Girls Senior High School

Kumasi High School (KUHIS) is a boys' senior high school in the Ashanti region of Ghana, established in 1962. Kumasi Girls, an all girls senior high located in Kumasi maintains an ongoing alliance and tie with their boys' school, Kumasi High School called "MMRAHEMMAA".


8. St. John's Senior High School and Archbishop Porter Girls' Senior High School

St. John's School is an all-boys' second-cycle Roman Catholic school located at Sekondi in the Western Region of Ghana. St. John's School has a strong tie with its sister school Archbishop Porter Girls Secondary School located in Takoradi, Western Region of Ghana.


9. Opoku Ware Senior High School and St. Louis Senior High School

Opoku Ware School, often referred to as OWASS, is an all-boys high school in Santasi, Ashanti region of Ghana. The school maintains an ongoing alliance with the St. Louis Senior High School, popularly called "AkataSlopsa".


10. St. Peter's Senior High School and St. Roses Senior High

St. Peter's Senior Secondary School (PERSCO) is a Roman Catholic boys' senior high school in the Eastern Region of Ghana. While it's sister or affiliated school is an all girls school also located in Akwatia, Eastern Region of Ghana. The school has an ongoing alliance with its fellow Roman Catholic boys' school St. Peter's Boys Senior Secondary School (called Sperosa).


11. Prempeh College and Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School

Prempeh College is a public secondary school for boys located in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana and its sister school being Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School located in kumasi. Yaa Asantewaa Senior High maintains an ongoing alliance with their boys' school, Prempeh College called "Amanadehye".
