The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) new vice chancellor, Prof. Lydia Aziato has been put into office. As part of her duties, the university banking partner, GCB Bank Ghana has officially welcomed the new VC and paid a courtesy call to senior management of the University.
In a post on Facebook, the university wrote about this meeting saying.
[Paraphrased] Officials from GCB Bank, led by the Managing Director (MD), Mr. Kofi Adomakoh, made a courtesy call on UHAS Senior Management on Friday, August 19, 2022, as part of efforts to strengthen the Bank-University connection.
The MD emphasized the Bank's commitment to maintaining a positive relationship with the University.
"We have been a member of the University since its founding, providing seed funding. We have come to support the University's forward match. We are looking forward to a long-term win-win collaboration ", he emphasized.
Prof. Lydia Aziato, Vice Chancellor, remarked that training health professionals is quite expensive, therefore the need for assistance from partners such as the GCB Bank.
