Deputy Education Minister on a working visit to three administrative Regions

Reverend John Ntim Fordjuor, the Member of Parliament for Assin South has begun a three day tour to the Central, Eastern, and Greater Accra Regions.

The purpose of this visit is to inspect certain schools where the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is ongoing and conduct a report for his outfit to assess the ongoing examination wthin the second cycle level.

The Minister started his tor with some schools within the Greater Accra Region. He went to O'Reilly SHS, Tema SHS, Sinai, before proceeding to some selected schools within the Eastern Region including Adankwaman SHS, Assin Manso SHS, Mampong PRESEC, and other schools.

In all these schools he visited, our checks reveals that he interacted with the students who are being assessed through the ongoing examination to see how well they are seeing the exercise as well as their preparedness and what they think should be done or challenges they are facing. 

After that, he went to the school authorities and also had a word with them before leaving for other schools.

The ongoing WASSCE examination has been marred by various forms of negative allegations with some dominant news concerning some subjects that were leaked.

As a result, some civil society groups like the Africa Education Watch has presented some of the alleged leakages to the Criminal Investigative Department of the Ghana Police Service to conduct the necessary investigations as to who leaked them and the motive behind it.
