The PRO for The Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng, today, 20th of October paid a working visit to the BECE centers in the Asante-Akim North District in Ashanti Region.
According to the PRO, his tour to the examination centers was to monitor the conducts of the center and examination to keep the ministry updated, per the directives of the new GES director, Dr. Eric Nkansah and the Ministry of Education.
Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng in his tour to the examination centers where BECE candidates are writing, advised the candidates to strictly adhere to the code of conducts governing the examination and also have hope in passing their exams if only they really prepared well for the exams.
He furthermore encouraged the candidates to continue learning even after their BECE. "Life does not stop teaching so don't stop learning" he said.
The PRO after speaking with the candidates, also cautioned supervisors and invigilators present not to condone any form of malpractice that could warrant the cancellation of their exams and also tanish the good name of Ghana's educational system.
Kwasi Kwarteng in a kind gesture refreshened candidates and supervisors with snacks and drinks.
The PRO's visit was described by the facilitators present as a good move by the MOE and GES and wished his visit was done often.
