There is some good news from the Ghana Education Service to all those who recently graduated Junior High School after sitting for their BECE. Last year.
According to the Director General of the Ghana Education Service, there is enough vacancy for all to attend school. There has in the past years been issues with school placements and this created anxiety among parents and students.
However, this year there is some comfort as about 535,000 vacancies have been declared by 721 senior high, technical and vocational schools. The numbers are reassuring because the number of students who qualified are lesser than the vacancies available.
In an interview with Daily Graphic, the Director General, Prof. Opoku Amankwa noted that barring any difficulties the placements will be released latest by Sunday, February 21, 2021. On issues relating to withheld results he noted that the Ghana Education Service is working with the West Africa Examination Council to get the results released.
This will be welcoming news for many who are currently at home awaiting their placements into Senior High Schools. What do you think? Share your thoughts.
