Four KNUST students arrested during riots are to bitterly 'cough' out 200,000 cedis each for bail.

Recently, there was an unrest in one of the biggest universities in Ghana named Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. This led to the arrest of some four students who allegedly were part of the recent riots. Today, October 14th 2022, news coming in from citinews report that, a bail has been granted to the four students.

The case was judged in the Asokore Mampong District Court with the four accused persons whose name still remain anonymous. At the end of the judgement, each person has been granted a bail with a sum of 200,000 cedis to be paid or 'coughed' out by each of the accused persons.

This has raised a lot of concerns among the public. Students of this noble institution(KNUST) are therefore advised to be very careful when they are in school. The prosecutor, ACP Kofi Blagodzi after the case also told citinews that, they tried to oppose the bail conditions but the judge went ahead to carry on with the judgement.

This is rather unfortunate on the part of the students and their families. On the other hand, it also serve as a deterrence to anyone who is a student at any noble institution.Let's all stay safe and work hard for our future.
