The final of the National Science and Math Quiz is finally over and at the end of the last round, Prempeh College emerged victorious. They have really fought a good fight, taking into consideration the threat their opponents posed on them.
This is the first time the show has been hosted in the garden city of Kumasi and looking at the schools who made it to the finals, there was no Kumasi school in the finals but Prempeh College. I tipped them to win after the beautiful semifinal contest they delivered, when they met their greatest rivals, Opoku Ware School.
Presbyterian Boys Senior High School has really been a thorn in their flesh this evening as they kept the contest very tight. It was like a simple pendulum which was set in motion. Both schools were displacing each other from the top spot as Keta senior high Technical School remained at the bottom.
This final has been the final we all have been looking forward to. The schools really made their supporters happy as they blended in the sorrowful moments and the ecstatic moments. Unfortunately for Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School, their dream of lifting the seventh trophy, has to be shifted to next year. There are new bosses in town.
Not only did they dim the chances of Presec from winning their seventh trophy. They also destroyed the back-to-back perception in their minds, and most importantly, they have made the Ashanti region proud. Isn't it amazing going to six finals and winning five out of the six?
Most schools cannot do that but there is a certain Prempeh College who defies all odds. This is Prempeh College!!!
