Update On Promotion, May 2022
Information gathered indicates that the validation window for May 2022 is active. According to some validators from different regions, there is an incremental jump plus two months’ salary arrears for those who were upgraded last year.
That is March (GHS39) and April (GHS39) salary arrears. However, there is an incremental jump of GHS46 with retention premium arrears of GHS5.00 for each month and GHS17 as tax.
It is very important to note that this has to do with last year’s promotions, either lower or higher rank. E.g. if one was promoted in June 2021, he/she would receive a step jump in May 2022. Also, if an individual was promoted in July 2021, the person will a step jump in June 2022.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed information made available to from some teaching staff indicates that the 2017 lower ranked batch of teachers who were appointed by the GES has been promoted this month.
